Observe
Observe~ notice or perceive (something) and register it as being significant. A little word with so much force in saying and doing. Mathew 6:26 HCSB "Look at the birds of the sky: They don't sow or reap or gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you worth more than they?" We are told to observe what the birds do not do and what God does do. It isn't about what we can't or don't do but what God does do.
I have learned more the last six months about who God wants to be to me, for me and through me by observing things around me. Watching birds, trees and just asking what God wants to speak to my heart has opened up doors. It has also changed how I see the world and people around me.
I am such a tiny fragment of this universe God has created but with my heart looking for ways to hear from Him has created me to be a huge impact in my corner of the universe. Simple things: such as looking at a painting, watching how trees bend and sway with the breeze, to how others treat complete strangers' reveal who God is to each of us, our hearts and souls. It is not about how much bible trivia you know, how much you give/tithe, how often you are in the church, it is how you are allowing God to speak through and to you.
You see, when you allow God to show you things in the world around you life changes. It changes because you are allowing God to speak to you the way you hear and what your heart needs at the perfect time.
